Even though you may have outgrown the exhibits, you're never too old to have fun at the Muncie Children's Museum! If you're at least 14 years old, like giving back to your community and have fun while doing it, come and volunteer at the Museum!

Volunteer at the Muncie Children's Museum

Every day at the Muncie Children's Museum, kids (and grownups) learn something new, teachers and parents relax, small faces light up and someone's experience has been made better by coming in contact with one of our volunteers.

We are always in need of friendly, energetic people to become part of our volunteer staff. Whatever your interests, we have an opportunity for you! Some of those opportunities include assisting with workshops and educational programs, hosting birthday parties, helping with art projects and wacky snacks, gardening and being a friendly face and resource person for our visitors.

For those who are very busy but still want to volunteer, we also have short-term special events including The Basement, the MCM's annual haunted house fundraiser, Santa's Winter Wonderland and the annual Children's Health Fair.

Youth may begin volunteering at the Museum at age 14. The Museum has a long history of an active youth volunteer program. Youth range in age from 14 to 17. In addition to learning work skills, meeting people and trying new things, the youth have an opportunity to work alongside youth from other schools and backgrounds.
